Scripps Networks selected TI Broadcast Solutions Group to design and construct a new all-digital facility for their Los Angeles-based Fine Living TV production staff. Scripps Networks’ offerings such as HGTV, Food Network, DIY, and Fine Living TV are noted for their overall eye-appeal, so the design of this facility was critical both from an ergonomic and technical perspective.
Since there was no local technical staff, the design had to provide operational simplicity for a staff that had been functioning without a facility router and patching all machines for each session. The project included all editing and graphics rooms, a terminal gear technical core, routing, intercom, signal conversion, audio management, and quality control. The TI Broadcast Solutions Group met the project’s aggressive deadlines through effective systems design, migration planning and prefabrication in our Norcross, Georgia facility. Prefabrication made it possible to deliver functionally complete systems to the site, creating only minimal interruption to ongoing production for air.
