TI Broadcast Solutions Group recently completed a project that enabled the launch of daily local newscasts for KLRT in Little Rock Arkansas. This station, a jewel in the Clear Channel Communications crown, is a technology showplace.
TI Broadcast Solutions Group designed and integrated the news department from the ground up. The project included design and integration for the journalist’s newsroom, the assignment desk, studio space, the technical infrastructure, the Associated Press newsroom computer systems, mobile editing systems, and news edit bays.
The heart of the system is NewsFlow™, an all-digital, tapeless ingest, edit, and play-to-air solution. KLRT did not offer a local newscast before this project was completed. Within the first month of operation following the completion of this facility designed and built by TI Broadcast Solutions Group, KLRT achieved a #1 position in the Nielsen ratings.
