Turner Network Operations selected TI Broadcast Solutions Group to provide detailed construction-level design and systems integration of the Turner Entertainment Networks North American broadcasting facility. The Turner Entertainment Networks originate all of the program streams for Turner’s national and international networks.
This 30-month-long project includes a digital Media Operations Center controlling multiple program streams for 21 networks with infrastructure for 9 additional network feeds. All infrastructure was designed, installed, tested, and certified for SMPTE292M specifications. TI Broadcast Solutions Group integrated 21 broadcast operations centers that generate play-out streams from live server feeds. The project also includes a media control center that populates the servers with pre-recorded material. The transmission operations center provides the ability to source and process multiple live feeds into the BOCs while monitoring all outgoing and off-air return feeds for quality control.
TI Broadcast Solutions Group provided engineering, project management, installation, commissioning, and extensive logistics management services. Other deliverables included final system testing, performance verification, system documentation, and personnel training.
