TI Broadcast Solutions Group provided design and integration of the Japanese Central Distribution and Transmission facilities used by the major Japanese television networks to cover Olympic events. The master transmission center for the Salt Lake Olympic Japanese Consortium received international feeds from the Olympic host broadcaster and several unilateral circuits from various venues for distribution to the consortium members.
In addition, to the distribution and transmission facilities, TI Broadcast Solutions Group designed two venue systems and designed and integrated the speed skating venue’s control room.
To reduce on-site installation time, TI Broadcast Solutions Group crews prefabricated racks and cable harnesses in their Norcross facility.The company provided on-site support in the form of design engineers, project management, final system testing, performance verification, system documentation, and personnel training.
